San Anton Shelter for Abandoned Animals
The San Antón abandoned animal shelter is located in the town of Villamartín.
San Antón is a shelter that has been helping abandoned and/or abused animals throughout the Sierra de Cádiz for more than 20 years. It is a non-profit organization responsible for rescuing these animals and finding them suitable families abroad, usually in countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. To this end, it collaborates with a German Foundation (...) to carry out this work, financing it and managing these adoptions in a completely professional and responsible manner, seeking the best life options for these animals.

We have been collaborating with this shelter for over 10 years.
Antonio, the founding veterinarian of Petto, and Alicia are responsible for performing all sterilization surgeries on these animals so they can later be put up for adoption. They also provide clinical advice and perform other surgical procedures necessary for the recovery and treatment of these animals. Our work represents just a small contribution compared to that contributed by other members of the shelter, such as caregivers, veterinarians in charge of the center and the director of the organization, as well as all the volunteers who come to these facilities to help and collaborate with the work of these centers.
